GRANTS
- Acceptance letter on 2/26/25 for the third round of funding ALA Grant –
Libraries Transforming Communities Round 3 – $10,000.
- Acceptance letter on 11/19/24 for the second round of funding for Illinois
Humanities $10,000 Grant for our Community Engagement Coordinator
received funds 12/16/24.
- Submitted the IL State Historical Records Grant Program for 2025.
- Illinois State Archives scholarship grant for Joann Glacken to attend the
Accessibility in Archives and Special Collections class on May 22, 2025
received notification of award on May 1, 2025.

NEW
- Elsie Zindel Memorial designee made to South Macon Public Library.
- Approval of the 2025/2026 Library Board Meeting Dates.
- Approval of Non-Resident card fee – recommendation to leave it at $75 a
year.
- Introduce Adanya Johnson new Library Clerk/Community Engagement
Assistant.

Library Activities/Programs
- 5/15 & 5/16 – Book Sale and Lunch during town Garage Sales.
- 5/17/25 – Puzzlepalooza 10am
- 5/28/25 – Tea Cup Fairy Garden Craft 6pm
- Summer Reading Sign up June 2 – 7 Summer Reading Program Begins
Wednesday June 11 and will be held on June 18, June 25, July 9, July 16 and
July 23 all programs begin at Noon.

Monthly/Weekly Activities
- Book Club 3 rd Wednesday of each month @2pm (Pause during the summer
months due to Summer Reading)
- Chair Exercise Class Thursdays @ 1:30 pm
- Lego Club Last Thursday of each month @ 5:30 pm
- Bunco 2 nd Tuesday of each month @ 10:30 am
- Free Play at the Library ages 0 – 5 years Mondays 10am – 12pm
